About Our Church

We are glad that you have shown an interest in what we believe and why. This page will help you answer questions you may have about us. Our prayer is that the answers given here will encourage you to inquire more and to join us at this church home.

Who We Are

We believe that we have a new life by approaching God through Jesus. We believe that the Bible has all the information we need in order to please God, that the Holy Spirit wants to truly and deeply change us and that faith has positive consequences for all aspects of our lives.

As Christ’s church our purpose is to go and make disciples of Christ

(Mt. 28:19), foster their spiritual growth (Mt. 28:20), and equip them to serve the church and community

(Eph. 4:11-16), thereby glorifying God (Mt. 5:16; 1 Pet. 4:11).

Bible Based

We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God and in it we find God’s character, our purpose, and the meaning of life; therefore, we fully submit to its teachings in our worship, ministry, personal lives, and leadership capacity. (2 Tim. 3:16-18) Because of this we look to no centralized organization or creed for direction other than our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ; (Col. 1:9-18) thus, we are free of denominationalism and simply desire to be the kind of church prescribed in the New Testament. (Acts 2:40-47)

Community

Every Sunday we come together to worship God in song, word and prayer. We look in the Bible for how we can practically live for God. We also take the time to encourage each other. Usually after a communal prayer, there is singing for a while before we celebrate the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. We also read from the Bible, take a no-obligation collection and deliver a short message, after which we conclude with a prayer. After any announcements, we take the time to have a nice cup of coffee or tea together and discuss the lesson we have just heard. In addition to meeting together for worship, we also enjoy being involved in eachothers lives during the week for fellowship, studies, prayer nights, and encouragement. We would love for your to join us!

Worship

Friendly faces and Bible-based worship. Sunday morning services begin at 10:45 am. We sing together, pray together, hold a communion service and listen to a sermon.

Bible Study

Before our worship services on Sunday morning, we come together for Bible study to create more involvement with the Word of God and to discuss it together.

How do I become a Christian?

In Acts 2:38 we see that on the first day of the existence of God's church, those who believed, repented, and were baptized were saved. We also see in Acts 2:47 that those who were saved by the Lord Himself were added to the church, so when someone became a Christian, he/she automatically became a member of Christ's church; therefore, we cannot demand anything from people other than their simple submission to Jesus. We believe in the grace of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and understand that we contribute nothing to the purchase price of our salvation (John 3:16). Jesus actually paid for our sins and this payment is truly a free gift, but it is a gift that is received conditionally:

  • Hear the Gospel (Romans 10:17).

  • Believe in the Gospel (Hebrews 11:6).

  • Confess Jesus as Lord

      (Matthew 10:32 and Romans 10:9-10).

  • Repent of past sins (Acts 17:30).

  • Be baptized (Acts 2:38).
